Meet Santa
Television and movies use different first names for Santa. Now, meet Santa Steve. Years ago when he needed a wig and beard to hide his dark curly hair, Santa Steve emerged out of his deep love for his own children. He identified with the original Saint Nickolas, the Bishop of Smyrna, an area in modern day Turkey. He also experienced the thrill of greeting Santa at the door when he was a child.
Santa Steve acted on stage professionally, and in community and educational theater for over 50 years. He learned to embody the character he played and Santa is no different. When that costume goes on, Steve becomes Santa and nothing shakes him from that role. A child pulling on his real beard? No problem.
As Saint Nicolas inspired the Santas of today by his giving, Santa Steve uses his faith and love of all God’s children to inspire his interpretation of the spirit of Christmas.
